DESCRIPTION:PICTURE PERFECT 5K \nJoin us during the month of May for Riverview Historic District’s PICTURE PERFECT 5K. During this virtual neighborhood event\, friends and neighbors will have an opportunity to get active\, enjoy nature and learn more about our beautiful neighborhood.  \nUnable to have our annual fund raiser\, we hope you will join us in supporting Riverview Historic District for this new interactive event. \nVolunteers dove into the archives to find some amazing stories for you to explore on the course. \nWhether you’re a runner\, walker or jogger we invite you to join other residents with inquisitive minds on a journey of discovery and curiosity. All ages\, paces and faces are welcome so lace up your shoes and traverse RHD with us\, one 5K at a time! \nHOW TO PARTICIPATE\n1)	Register for the virtual race using the form that is linked on the website home page. Complete race anytime in the month of May. Registration is $20 and is open through May 15th. \n2) Join our Facebook Group to interact with other participants and compete in challenges each week.  \n3) Bring your curiosity as you run the 5K and let us know how it went and what 	you learned in the Facebook Group. \nCOURSE\nThis year’s race is completely virtual and takes place in the Historic District and around Cobb Park. \nGOODIE BOX\nWe are excited to provide a “house” box of goodies complete with a postcard pack of facts and clues for your trek\, plus more goodies. Your Box will be delivered to you prior to May 1st or soon after you register. Boxes will be available for pick-up on May 1st at the Kankakee Farmers Market\, also. \nCHALLENGES\nEach week during the month of May we will have a challenge that participants can take part in. Winners of the challenges will receive shout outs and be featured on the 5K website. Prizes to be named in the challenge. \nPHOTOS   \nSince this is a virtual race\, there will not be no official photos for the event. We do invite you to take photos of your route and tag #pictureperfect5k.
