Let's go all out with lights, garland, luminaria and holiday wreaths and transform Riverview into a twinkling wonderland. Make our neighborhood a destination to celebrate holiday spirit. Bundle up the kids and invite your friends and relatives to stroll the neighborhood on Sunday, December 14, 2025.
Stop and visit Santa and Mrs. Claus at 761 S. Chicago Avenue.
Neighbors may also choose to extend hospitality by offering cookies, candy canes, hot chocolate and other beverages on their porches.
Extend season's greetings to all. You never know who you might meet.
ANNUAL RIVERVIEW HOLIDAY LIGHTING CONTEST!

Get into the holiday spirit and light up the neighborhood! We're excited to announce our expanded Annual Holiday Lighting Contest, where your festive outdoor display could win you a prize and the title of "Best Decorated House." The contest is open to Historic Riverview and RNO residents.
To enter, simply decorate your home and enter the contest via the form on our website by December 1. Then let the community vote for their favorite display on our Facebook page. Voting will conclude December 13.
Voting is open to everyone—so be sure to invite your friends and family to cast their votes for your home! Winners will be announced at the end of the contest, and the winner will receive a $100 gift card to Rigo's. The winners' prize will be hand delivered by Santa Claus on the during the Light Stroll.

Luminary kits are available to make your walkways welcoming and festive during the stroll. Participate in this tradition by using your own luminaria or order these easy to use kits from Riverview Historic District.
Kits include enough materials for 12 luminaries with white paper bags, votive candles and holders, sand for weighing down the bags, and delivery to your home.
Luminary kits are $15.
The deadline to order is December 5. Payments accepted by cash, check made out to Riverview Historic District, or request a Square invoice to easily pay by card by using the button below..
